Since the age of five I have lived and breathed around horses, and having owned them for most of my adult life, I have developed an extensive knowledge of the relationship between horse and rider, and what influences their performance. Equine Sports Massage was a natural progression from my Personal Training and Human Sports Massage qualifications.
For many years I'd had a highly paid role as a Personal Assistant within a top International Company. Due to expanision and relocation I was offered redundancey. Having been at the top of my game for several years I decided that I would take some time out and learn something new. Having regular committments, like everyone else, it was a brave thing to do so late in my working life.
I retrained and qualified as a Personal Trainer & Sports Therapist with Premier Training International (now Premier Golbal) and have never looked back. After building a good human client base I decided to further my career into the equine world. I chose to train with Renee Castle (Active Foundation) and enbarked on a grewling three month training course. I passed my final examinations with flying colours and I now have the career I always dreamed of!
I believe a whole new world has opened up for me and the horses I treat, and through caring owners, trainers and riders, I am sure the life of the equine can be far more productive and less painful!
